Whatever the Guru says, accept that as good; the sermon of the Lord, Har, Har, is unique and wonderful. [ Pause ]

O Saints of the Lord, O Siblings of Destiny, listen: serve the Guru, quickly now!

sathagur saev kharach har baadhhahu math jaanahu aaj k kaalhee

ਸੁਖ ਮੈ ਬਹੁ ਸੰਗੀ ਭਏ ਦੁਖ ਮੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥

In good times, there are many companions around, but in bad times, there is no one at all.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਭਜੁ ਮਨਾ ਅੰਤਿ ਸਹਾਈ ਹੋਇ ॥32॥

In happiness and prosperity one finds her many friends;In sorrow and adversity there is none, Says Nanak, leaving Communion was gone, my mind,The Lord will save thee in the end.

Plato once stated, "that friendship arises out of human needs and wants and the higher form of ideal of friendship exists only for the sake of God." Selfish and greedy people become the most flattering friends of prosperous, successful, powerful and rich people, but as soon as they face adversity, they not only disappear be even turn against him/her. True friendship is inspired by wisdom, pyar, selflessness and virtue. These are acquired by leading a contemplative life.

Shakespeare states, "All friends shall taste, the wages of their virtues and all foes, the cup of their deservings."

True friendship is a divine gift, which exalts character, ennobles and purifies man's heart and soul and fills it with compassion and understanding. God, and those who live in the love of the truth, are the only true friends of Man and destined but stand by him and redeem him from the sorrow and tribulations of life and death.

Bhai Gurmukh Singh Ji

Here are some short video clips of Bhai Gurmukh Singh Ji (Vaja) & Bhai Surdarshan Singh Ji (Tabla).

Bhai Gurmukh Singh ji (Vaja) is the son of Sant Bahadar Singh Ji (Gurbhai of Sant Sujan Singh Ji, who were both exceptional Kirtanees). He currently is a very high proclaimed international artist on Gurmat Sangeet.

Accompanying him on the tabla is Bhai Surdarshan Singh Ji (sunny) who started tabla training from the age of 5 from the guidance of prominent gurus of tabla. After obtaining a degree in Classical Tabla Bhai Surdarshan Singh Ji went on to train under tabla maestro and GrammyAward winner Shiri Sukhvinder Singh Namdhari Ji. Bhai Surdarshan Singh Ji performs nationally and internationally accompanying maestros across the globe. He is currently one of englands leading accompanist and soloist.

This kirtan took place at Nanaksar Gurudwara, Smethwick on Sat 05-10-02.

Bruce Lee...

There are many people in history, outside Sikhi, that I admire, one of them is the martial arts legend, Bruce Lee. You can tell that God blessed him alot, he has positively inspired millions + of people around the world, even after he died, after only living for 33 years. Few people have done this. Everybody knows Bruce Lee for his martials skills/movies, but probably the most powerful part of his body was his mind. He was a great philosopher/thinker. In all of his films he has some amazing lines that he himself wrote. Below are two short videos of him, one talking about martial arts and other subjects, the other is from one of his films.

Recently, a few of us went to my mums Chacha Ji's house in West London to do some Paath and Kirtan, there was only a few of us but its was gr8! :)

Above Bhai Mohan Singh Ji, is reading the Hukumnama. He is one of the most spiritual and humblest Gursikh in our family. A great Gursikh who has travellled all over India organsing Yatraa trips for many people from the UK. He firsted started organising trips to Siri Hemkunt Sahib in 1978, with Bhai Shadi Singh Ji, Bhai Deedaar Singh Ji, Bhai Rama Singh Ji, Bhai Pritipal Singh Ji and Bhai Harbhajan Singh Sagoo Ji in the first travelling Jatha.
