On the 2nd Feb 2008, it was our nephew's, lil Imaan Singh 1st birthday! :) These pics below are just some of our ones from the cake cutting at lil Imaan Singhs house in the evening. There was Kirtan and Guru Ka Langar at Martindale Road Gurudwara in the morning.

We have upload some short videos of our nephews, Lil Amrit Singh and Lil Imaan Singh.

Lil Imaan Singh has just started to walk & talk. He can say "ma" & "da" (mum & dad), hes learning a few more words. In the video below you can see him walking.



The video below is us just messing about with Lil Imaan Singh, he so funny, he will laugh at almost anything! lol :)



The video below is of Lil Amrit Singh walking and talking. He walks really well, and has started talking quite well. He says quite a lot of the video below, "open door", "river" etc. You can also see him make a brake for it and escape from the door! lol :)

Annual Akhand Keertan Smaagam @ Southall Mar 20 - 24 2008

There is the Annual Akhand Keertan Smaagam at Various Gurdwaras in West London this Bank holiday weekend. Mar 20 2008 to Mar 24 2008. The main Raensabahee is on Sunday 23th March at Singh Sabha Gurudwara on Havelock Road in Southall. Starting at 8pm and finishing at 5am on Monday (Bank Holiday).

Mini Akhand Jaap @ Martindale Gurudwara 07Mar08

There was a Mini Akhand Jaap held at Martindale Road Gurudwara in West London, on the 7-Mar-2008. An "Akhand Jaap" is a program where only Waheguru simran is recited continuously. The reason why there are programs like this is because many youngsters cannot relate to kirtan because they do not know the words or what they mean. Naam Simran is so easy to participate in, regardless of education, knowledge of Gurbani or religious perspective. By simply singing and repeating the word "Waheguru", even small children can join in and feel the power of collective prayer in the Sadh Sangat. The normal Akhand Jaap Program is 24 hours long.

‘Kericho Wagon Works’ Pt 2 of 2

"We would meet twice a week for prayers. Once every six months or so we would all go up to Kericho for an 'Akhand Paath', three-day continual prayers. Big crowds would gather at Babaji's. Babaji would clear out his workshop and we would have the meeting there, with prayers and singing. No one asked why you came, you were just made welcome. Everything was ready, food and bedding for everyone. Babaji's wife was helping. Bibiji looked after him very well, his clothes and his food. She was a simple woman, very good hearted. She loved people, both grown-ups and children.
Babaji would sit there, talking with the people up until 11 pm. He'd be laughing and chatting. He wasn't a serious man. When you met Babaji you felt very fresh. He'd give you a great look, a great smile. Even one word from him made you feel good. He gave us his light. I think Babaji had a gift from God. God gives different gifts. (He gave me the gift of singing nicely.) Babaji had the gift of healing, of making people feel better."
